Three Laurelhurst Gardens
Located within a few short blocks of each other in Laurelhurst and completed in 2005-2006, these three small and fairly level front gardens by Seattle landscape architect Brooks Kolb have two major programmatic elements in common; otherwise, they could not be more different. What all three have in common is that they reclaim the front yard for private and intimate family living and they each incorporate a small water feature. At each site, the back yard was less suitable for family use, but for different reasons. Click on the following links for more details.
